5. Our predictions: have flying cars, normal use of drones for shipments, holographic phones, and the phone that will never die. 

1. The predictions people made 100 years ago was that we would get rid of C, X, and Q from our alphabet. We would purchase things and receive them from tubes. A university education would be free to men and women by now. Horses would be extinct. Everybody will walk 10 miles a day. There will be no wild animals except in zoos. Fruit would become bigger.
Image result for hannah montana z phoneThe predictions from 50 years ago was there will be interplanetary travel. There will be a flying aero cab. Divers will ride giant sea horses. Intelligent life will be found on Mars. Cancer will be conquered. Police will have giant wings to fly. Beef will be a luxury. We will have races under water in the pacific on fish.

2. Most of these predictions are a wish. People wanted to think of these abstract ideas like there would be races underwater with fish. Sure there were some predictions or warnings like university education will be free for all. The people were thinking that everyone should have a right to higher class education. But most of these odd predictions were a wish and a sense of imagination for people.

3. Some predictions that have become true are: there would be bigger fruit, well trained orchestra, global connections, television, tanks, color photographs, pre-prepared meals, and slowing population growth. Some crazy predictions that were out of reach are divers riding sea horses, intelligent life on different planets, underwater croquet, whale buses, races underwater with fishes, horses will be extinct, and no wild animals.

4. Some of the patterns in these predictions were underwater ideas, flying things, outer space ideas, and a lot of animal predictions. These predictions seem focused on technological advancement and space explorations. The people anticipated a more advanced and fun world.

Native American; Poverty

Native American; Poverty           Native American have a very high percent of poverty. Their percentage of poverty is the highest out of any ethnicity in the U.S. according to Pew Research Center.   Not only is their poverty percentage rate very high, so is their unemployment rate. I find this interesting since our class just talked about how from the first books mentioning Indians they described them as lazy. Maybe Native Erik Stegman , there is still 70% of native adults who are under the poverty line. Native Americans being unemployed could relate back to their stereotype. Their poverty and unemployment rate are both high but most have access to education. I thought there could be something wrong with the education.
