Thinking about Progress
1. I would define progress as making things better or people and places. Maybe for the progressive era it would be making better laws for the people, making the United States a better place to live in.

Women were given the right to vote, women suffrage, there was social activism, and political reform. Some of the problems during this time was.... Some achievements were women given the right to vote. Also they were addressing problems like education, safety, and a good work place according to George Washington University. Some actions that were taken were people speaking up about the issues and they created protests.
3. Progressive reformer share in common of speaking up for their beliefs. They also believed a lot of the same thing like in civic duty and self-sacrifice according to Britiannica. They also fought for patriotism.
4. The major goals for Progressive reformers:
a. essential goals/ necessary changes:
To make the national government stronger politically. (Britiannica)
b. good goals/ could change
To help the economy because that also helps the people with their living. Also by helping industrialization which boosted the economy.
c. strange goals
To make immigrants like Americans. They have their own beliefs and values and making them Americans is just going too far.
